Sonic FC tutorial

Species: Hedgehogs, been there done that, try something else, like your favorite animal, and don't make crossbreeds. Chao are in need of love D<<<

Age: Don't make your character a 9000 year old warrior, make it your age or 17.

Powers: This is where retards muck around on, don't give your character overpowered moves and a million forms, just have some simple abilities or don't give your character powers at all. Don't make your character invincible, or max out every stat, and don't mix every video game character you can think of to make your FC, like Detonator the Hedg, I mean builder.

Name: This is the hardest part, the name, most characters have 2 syllable names, so give your character a 2 syllable name if necessary, you should also make your character's name link with the character's personality or talents. But DON'T name your character: Shade, Pyro, Hydro, Gyro, Zero, Cinos or any other crap, and don't take names from other franchises.

Clothing: Make your character look cool with clothing, but don't over do it, otherwise you'll end up as jackshit, get inspired from what you normally wear in real life or base the clothing off your character's personality. Basically, don't over do this step.

Personality: Just use your real life personality, but if necessary, give your character a different personality, this step is simple, the easiest way to pass is to just make your personality 'cool'.

Coloration: 3/4 of all FCs are red, don't join the blandness, use a different color, but not Sonic's blue, if you're gonna use blue, Cobalt, Cyan and aqua are good choices. Also use colors that you normally don't see around, but are awesome. Coloration should link with name and/or personality.

Quills: Be creative, but don't screw up, make an original set of quills, adding bangs and dreadlocks are good ideas as well, don't use overused quills, and make the hairstyle fit your character's spieces.

Romance: Alright, you can give your character a lover, but don't make them instantly have sex or get married, the relation should build up slowly. I'm no homophobe, but DON'T make homosexual characters, it doesn't sound like anything Sonic related, and the later information can help with your fanfics about official characters, don't change a character's sexual preference so they fall in love with another character, like Amy with Rouge o_O and don't pair your FC's with official characters, especially ones that already love another member of the official cast, like, don't pair your FC with Amy, do you really think she would let go of her obsession for Sonic just to love your FC? No, she would not.

Storyline: Make, the storyline, casual, unless of course, your FC is a villain, villains should be... you know what villains do, but give them a reason to be evil, and don't make your character's parents get killed in the character's past, dark pasts are overused and incredibly hideous. DON'T LINK YOUR FC'S STORYLINE WITH AN OFFICIAL CHARACTER'S.
